CHANEL CC Coco Cocoon Quilted Handbag Black

On April 28, 2009, a court decision was made regarding, an e-commerce website that was a store selling replica Chanel handbags. Among the items being offered for sale were a black Lambskin replica Chanel handbag for $420 and a white replica Chanel handbag with a black leather CC monogram for $495. CHANEL contacted the store's operator on May 27, 2008 demanding that they immediately cease and desist from selling any fake Chanel products. While the replica Chanel handbags were removed from the site for a brief period of time upon rechecking the site it was discovered that the replica CHANEL bags could again be found on the website. Two follow up letters later, with no response from the site owner, a case was filed in the District of Nevada.

The residing District Court judge in the case entered judgment in favor of CHANEL and issued a permanent injunction against the operator of SnazzyHandbags.

In addition to being ordered to pay CHANEL over $540,000.00, the operator of was ordered by the court to stop selling counterfeit and infringing goods that used CHANEL's famous name and images. To ensure the court order was indeed followed, and to prevent this domain name from being used to sell replica Chanel handbags again in the future, the judge also ordered this domain name transferred to CHANEL's control.
